Villamartin
The Golf Course
Villamartin is one of the longest established golf clubs on the Costa Blanca. This classic Spanish course played host to the Mediterranean Open in 1994 when Jose Maria Olazabal beat Paul McGinley in a play-off. Villamartin remains popular due to its timeless design. You must be accurate with your tee shots to have a chance to get close to the hole with your approach shot. It is not a long course by modern standards but certainly demands all of your attention. The tough long par 3 - 17th and the dog-leg par 4 - 18th will test anyone with a good score going. Villamartin is well maintained and the clubhouse overlooking the final hole offers a great atmosphere.
The Resort
Villamartin has been a popular resort for decades now with tourists and property buyers attracted by the golf course, the proximity to the beach and the local entertainment. The famous Villamartin Plaza features 2 levels of bars and restaurants ranging from quiet locales to busy bars with live music and entertainment. Every amenity is on your doorstop at Villamartin and this has only been further enhanced by the introduction of La Zenia Boulevard just a few minutes away.
